This is the first time that we were hired to take over the responsibilities of a Wedding Coordinator that was cancelled by a client. Monique was referred to us by Karen a few months before her wedding in 2009.

Monique’s mom, Ms. Marissa, met with us to discuss Monique’s wedding at our office in Alabang.

The basic reason why they were letting go of the first Wedding Coordinator was because they found it hard to communicate and set meetings with them. There was little help from their Wedding Planner. Instead of getting help, they were getting stress.

Good thing, Karen, was quick to recommend us. Simply Beautiful Events to the rescue! Karen by the way is the girlfriend of Anjo, Monique’s brother.

Ms. Marissa was very hands on with Monique’s wedding and she was so easy to work with. Easy because she was on top of everything and knows what they want. All I need to do was to execute everything on the day of the wedding. Meetings were even convenient for us since they live right next to Saint James the Great (steps away) and our office is just 15 minutes away from their house.

Mrs. Soriano was pretty sure that she got everything covered. When I presented the tasks that we were supposed to cover, she said “You don’t need to this or this, or this”.

So I said, “Okay po but are you sure you want to do all of those things on your own on the day of the wedding?”

That made her think a bit and eventually let us do what we were hired to do. To give them a stress free wedding.

I learned several things from RJ and Monique’s wedding that will help us with our future clients such as to:

  1. Remind clients to save their playlist as music file not as data file (The CD containing the playlist for the reception wont play (even the back up copy). It was a good thing that our own Tech. Assistant was there to come up with a solution).
  2. Make sure that the readers and the Officiating Minister have a copy of the misalette in BIG fonts (3 clearbooks with misalettes were provided).
  3. Make sure that I return messages and answer emails as soon as I can (I don’t want a client to cancel our services just because I did not return their calls or messages).
