I guess Christian and Michelle’s wedding will be the most memorable wedding for me now.

Days before they got married I had to admit my grandfather in the hospital due to some complications and a day before their wedding, my grandfather died. I was torn. I was heartbroken. But I decided to work and be there for them (better to keep myself busy than to face our family drama).

With a brave face, I worked without anybody knowing that I was grieving. My team of angels did not even know what I was going through. Good thing they are efficient and didn’t give me any problems or else I would have broken down and cried because of the stress.

I wanted to seek counsel from Pastor Rainier that day but I know that I will just cry buckets of tears after the sharing so even if I really wanted to let go of some of the pressure I went on working.

Chef Velmor with Vet

Friends from the wedding industry were there to comfort me. Ang ingay grabe. Parang wala kami sa lamay. Hahaha! Vet was even candid enough to celebrate her birthday during their visit at the wake. Chef Velmor brought a blueberry cheese cake for us to share that night (Thanks, Chef!). We sang a happy birthday song for her and Lolo Daddy (Lolo Daddy’s birthday was April 30 and her’s was May 1).

Depression came in a few weeks after and things were never the same again. Every now and then I cry. I miss my Lolo Daddy.

Christian and Michelle

To Christian and Michelle, thank you for making me a part of your beautiful wedding and for endorsing us to your soon to wed friends even if we were still just planning your wedding. May you begin your life together with love and Christ in your hearts. Thank you for the understanding, trust and the love.

Vet Lauzon

Happy birthday uli, Vet! Thanks for being there.

Rest in peace, Daddy.

Daddy, I love you and I will forever be grateful.
