Wilsie was about to get married when we became friends on Facebook. I can’t remember how it all started but I think it was when she unloaded her concerns to me. I was not her Wedding Coordinator. I am just a faceless online friend who had the time to lend an ear. No agenda whatsoever. So I guess when it was her friend’s time to get married she had me in mind and not her own wedding planner.

Adi and Wilsie go a long way so even if Wilsie is done and over with her own wedding planning, she still made sure that she’s on top of Adi’s wedding and I am thankful that she was there as well since Wilsie had so much to offer. Adi got us for Full Planning and Coordination and we started working one year before her wedding.

Below is Adi’s recount of how things went before, during and after her wedding.

What’s the best thing that happened during my wedding preparation?
During the wedding prep i was scared that the event wouldn’t be successful. After all, this would be the biggest event that i had to plan- not to mention overseas pa. I will always be grateful to Wilsie for helping me envision, plan and carry out the whole thing. My family helping us with the paperworks -church, city hall etc. was a big help too. My mother in law for her connections… Alam mo kc i was never the type who dreamt of getting married so when i would research for color schemes, flowers or gowns, mas madami pa yung hindi ko gusto sa gusto ko (tapos si Dominigo maarte din. lol) example- i don’t know if you remember when i saw Veluz’s work, i knew i liked her. Nung una she wasn’t answering my emails, tapos i think you told me (even Wilsie) to look for someone else, but i insisted kc i knew i like her. It was easier for me to say no to something than say yes. I hope you get what i mean

What’s the best thing that happened on the day of my wedding?

Best thing that happened during my wedding- getting a wedding coordinator. i didn’t feel stressed at all. You were that good! i knew you could handle everything. I remember feeling bored, tipong let’s get this going! (impatient talaga)

Things that went wrong or things I could have done differently.
the only thing that went wrong during my wedding was i forgot to pay attention to the offertory ( i think pangit yung basket of fruits that we gave to the church kc madalian binili and i forgot to assign people for offertory) i think the reception was a success ppl would commend us up to now na masarap yung food and fun daw. I thought DJ Hitman did an exceptional job, no wonder sikat cya, ang dami nyang hostings nkikita ko sa fb

Things I splurged on or saved on.
splurged- definitely gown. i know other brides would spend a lot more, but i’m not the type who would spend so much on something that i would only wear once. worth it though i think hindi km ngtipid. I was lucky to have such supporting mother in law. whenever i would say “ang mahal naman!” which is fairly common.. she would say “ako na bahala” or my husband would say it’s ok as long as that is what i really want. It also helped a lot that we prepared a year in advance, so the payments were stretched out.

Married life is…
It is true that marriage is a start of a new beginning. My life is completely different that when i was living by myself, then another chapter starts when you have a baby!

I learned that a wedding…
I learned that a wedding is a celebration of love it doesn’t matter how big the wedding is or how small. What’s important is we got to celebrate it with our family and friends who were happy to see us together. You do what you want bec it’s your wedding. no rules.

Over all, i think our wedding was better than i expected and deserved. The memories will stay with me forever. It always brings a smile to my face whenever i see our video. btw, nasa youtube search adi and domingo if you need it.

The best decision I ever made..
Best decision is to hire a wedding coordinator if you are an overseas bride. big help.

Lahat ng vendors namin I would happily recommend to anybody (including you and your staff) except our invite. Good thing the invite came out nice. or some of it.
