Every couple wants to have their wedding unique and memorable but sometimes it just gets overboard and couples tend to forget to focus on the sacraments. And because of this, the Catholic Church has banned some modern wedding practices in recent years.
So what exactly are these moderns wedding practices?

Manila Archbishop Luis Tagle urged the Filipino Catholics to refrain from frivolities after observing that sacraments are being treated as venues for “social gatherings or cultural traditions” instead of focusing on the spiritual meaning of these rituals. Father Jerry Orbos, who hosts a show on radio dzMM, agrees with Archbishop Tagle. Reminding Catholics to focus more on their marriage instead of the wedding ceremony.
